ABOUT US
We started our adventure back in 2011 when we sold our house in the city and purchased a farm in a small town located in the beautiful North Okanagan in BC. It was the best decision we ever made and we have never looked back.
The following spring we purchased our first goats. We chose Nigerian Dwarf goats due to their small size and their gentle, friendly personalities. Plus they have the highest level of butterfat out of all the other goat breeds which makes their milk incredibly creamy and perfect for cheese and soap making.
We embarked on living a healthier, more natural way of living and eating. We started to become more aware of what we were putting into our bodies but it wasn't until my moms skin started to react to commercial soap and skin care products after going through menopause that we started to become more aware of what we were putting onto our bodies. She had heard about the wonderful benefits of using products made with goat milk and asked if I could make her some soap. We always have a large surplus of goat milk on hand so I decided to give it a try and made my first batch of soap to give to my mom. Her skin started to improve after only a week of using the soap. I started giving soap away to my family and friends when one of them recommend that I start selling my soaps so other people could also enjoy them. That's when The Goat Soap Factory was born. I realize I had discovered my true calling in soap making. I absolutely love making soap and coming up with my own creative recipes. We now make over 25 different varieties of moisturizing goat milk soap and we have branched out into making other bath and skin care products. A lot of hard work and passion goes into making our products and we hope you enjoy using them as much as we enjoy making them!
